Who we are

Take Me Home Treats: The (*Almost) Official Pet Treats of the WVU Mountaineers!

It’s never too late to come home, and the season is now! We here at Take Me Home Treats grew up with the Mountaineers, from attending football games before reaching our first birthday, to being a WVU student and attending every single game (home and away) of Pat White’s senior year, we love being around and involved with Mountaineer Athletics.

We felt so inspired by the return of Coach Rich Rod to WVU, by the amazing work Wren Baker is doing, the unreal global audience of Pat McAfee (unarguably the biggest name in all of sports commentating) and the generous support of Ken Kendrick, that we wanted to get involved too. *We currently say we are the Almost (Heaven) Official Pet Treats of the WVU Mountaineers, because we are hopeful to become official partners with WVU and Country Roads Trust and to drop the “almost” and become THE OFFICIAL PET TREAT OF THE WVU MOUNTAINEERS.

If there is anything West Virginians love more than our Mountaineers, it’s our pets, and that’s where the idea came together. Produce healthy, made in West Virginia, by West Virginians, pet treats, and donate over *90% of the profits to the Country Roads Trust, the official WVU NIL Fund. (*the goal is to donate all profits to the CRT, as of creating this website I haven’t spoken to a lawyer or an accountant, so I assumed putting 90% is safe for now until I have proper information.)

Our goals are to create jobs for West Virginians by selling healthy pet treats made in West Virginia with an initial target goal of donating over $1,000,000 to the Country Roads Trust. There’s a lot of Mountaineers out there, and most of us have pets, I think we can truly do something special for our Men and Women athletes at WVU.

We were at the Sugar Bowl in 94, we were there in 2006, we were at the Fiesta Bowl in 08, we were at the Orange Bowl in 2012, we were in DC when we beat Duke, we were in Cleveland when we beat Wake Forest, we were at Syracuse when we beat Kentucky, we’ve been to Vegas and Puerto Rico with the basketball team, we were at all of Rich Rod’s bowl games, we were at the Garden when we won the Big East (I have a piece of that 3pt line btw), we were at the Final Four, and it’s our goal to be there and at least play a small role in our future championships that we’re gonna bring home!

It’s time to come home. Support the Mountaineers. Support the Country Roads Trust. Support us here at Take Me Home Treats, and remember, it’s a great day to be a Mountaineer, wherever you may be!
